Elizabeth Round
Liz has worked very hard for the Company in many backstage roles as well as acting in several productions in the 2000’s. She has also proven her skills in the role of Stage Manager in the 2006 production of ‘Cemetery Club’.
Her acting debut was in ‘Man of the Moment’ in November 2001 when she played Sharon Giffin. In her younger days she concentrated on her musical interests; playing in the Midland Youth Orchestra and later on singing in the City of Birmingham Choir.
Liz played Sandy Lloyd-Meredith in ‘Party Piece’ May 2002 and said that her worst party “… after driving around for a couple of hours, some friends and I arrived at the host’s house only to find it empty. She had only gone and got her dates mixed up and gone out!” Denise Collings described Liz as “saucy-but-nice” in her characterisation of Sandy.
Liz appeared on stage for Wythall in 2004 as a troubled sister in ‘Memory of Water’. Liz also gave us a super performance as Nellie (the maid) in ‘Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime’ (2006).
Liz’s more recent performances for Wythall included the worried Julia Simmons in our fantastic production of ‘A Murder is Announced’ (November 2007).
Liz has been a asset to the Company since she joined. She has given much of her time and commitment in backstage roles for several shows.
Our dear friend Elizabeth or as we knew her as ‘Liz’ sadly passed away on the 27th of June. Although WTC is disbanded Liz’s passing has been a great shock to all of us.
