Abby Stonehall
Abby first got the acting bug at the age of 11 when she played the Fairy ‘Moth’ in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.
After various school productions she spent two years at Coventry Centre for the Performing Arts, studying acting, singing, mime, history of theatre and all the backstage disciplines. During this time she played many parts from Greek tragedy to Joe Orton, and leads in such diverse shows as ‘Larry the Lamb in Toy town’ to ‘Mother Courage’ (You decide for yourself which was funnier!).
Since moving to the Midlands in 1998, Abby has performed in various plays and musicals (having a passable soprano voice) for The Palace Theatre Company, Studley Operatic Society, Redditch Operatic Society and, of course, Wythall Theatre Company.
Favourite parts to date include Pauline in ‘The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole’ (Palace Theatre Company), Daughter in ‘The Broadway Pirates of Penzance’ (ROS) and Suzette in ‘Don’t Dress for Dinner (WTC November 2003).
Abby is currently a Wythall Angel and supports our events and productions as a sponsor of the Company.
Abby also sometimes works as company photographer, although she finds it tricky to be in a play at the same time as taking the photos!
