Production Reviews
In the fine new hall at Woodrush high School, Wythall Dramatic Society last night gave their first full-length production and happily for a new society came out of the ordeal very well.
The riotous comedy "George and Margaret" has taste in suburban humour upon which it depends, has changed greatly in the 20 years since it was written.
For All that the company somewhat inexperienced, managed to extract a good deal of goings-on of the strangely assorted collection each living in a world of his own.
The part of the eccentric new maid Beer, was played by an actor dressed as a pantomime dame, rather mistakenly perhaps, but the best individual performance was given by Peggy Ewans as Frankie the lively emancipated daughter.
