Clare Rowland
Clare joined us for a couple of shows and what an impact she made. Her first role was as Vicky in The Opposite Sex. The 2000 adjudication report said:
“Vicky: A clearly presented character with energetic speaking and movement. A good naturalistic phrasing and with concentrated listening and well timed reactions. Appearing in the supper party scene was effective and was matched with distinctive playing. Her anger at being humiliated was well contrived.”
The photograph show in from the flyer and programme cover of Opposite Sex. I wonder what she was thinking when the picture was taken?
Nevertheless, Clare’s favourite acting memory was in Ayckbourn’s Confusions when she got to slap her stage husband in the face! So, you have been warned!
Clare also boasted that she could do the splits… she has yet to prove this claim… we are still waiting Clare!
