Karen has only vague memories of her first acting role – she thinks she played a bush at Junior School!
However, she has also told us that she played a part of a tree when she was young and reports that the director said her acting was “Very wooden.” Spurred on by this, Karen has acted and worked backstage in several WTC shows.
She made her acting debut for WTC by playing Jane Mercer in House Guest (1990). Karen has always been a stalwart of the society and is normally responsible for sorting out our transport problems. It is rumoured that she got the part of Flo in Alfie because she is able to make a good cup of tea! Bless!
Since then she has filled many acting parts including Sharon Fitch in Chorus of Disapproval. Karen also directed our successful production of Lucky Sods in 2002.
