Anna’s interest in acting started at school with her performance as the storyteller in the Thwarting of Baron Bollingrew. She joined the Company in 1993 and really has been a great member of the team.

Since then she has appeared many times for Wythall. Roles include: Clara the nurse in Alfie, Clover in the touring version of Animal Farm, Bernice in Alan Ayckbourn’s Confusions, Maria, the Spanish maid in Two into One, the prompt in The Haunted Through Lounge and Recessed Dining Nook at Farndale Castle, Ruth Bechler in Suddenly at Home and as Anna Trueman in Deadly Nightcap.

In one of her more recent productions Man of the Moment reviewer Denise Collings, in November 2001, said of Anna:

“Jill Rillington (Anna Ahmed) took us straight into the story with her boundless energy, clear diction and expressive face.”

Backstage Anna has been responsible for properties, sound operation and she was assistant stage manager on Steel Magnolias.
