Denise Williams
Denise was a just a teenager when she joined the Company. Monica in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie was Denise’s first stage appearance followed by Miss Witherspoon in the Farndale-Macbeth.
She then shared the character of Julie Jackson in Pack of Lies with Jane Ford playing alternate nights. Felicity in Habeas Corpus, Dennis in the Pantomime Dennis and the Donkey and the haunted Mary in Memory of Water in 2004 were other productions Denise has appeared in.
In 2005 Denise gave a stunning performance in Lost In Yonkers as the ‘child like’ Aunt Bella. A part she played which evoked tears and laughter in quick succession.
Again, in 2006 Denise gave a wonderful performance for the company – this time in Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime. She had a chance to wear lovely dresses as Sybil Merton (the long suffering fiancee of Lord Arthur).
Denise works for the NHS as a IT Training Manager. She has also been the company’s secretary for a number of years and busily types up minutes on her laptop at committee meetings.
Her ambition is to play Juliet before she gets too old for the part! Denise, you will never be too old!
After having her baby in 2008 Denise is one of our wonderful Wythall Angels. We still look forward to seeing her in productions in the future.
